Biography

Cindy is a teacher, activist, and advocate for queer and transgender people. She is the assistant director of the Pride Center and advisor to SOL: LGBTQ+ Multicultural Support Network. She came to OSU from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she directed the Pride Center and co-directed the intercultural center. Cindy has taught writing, literature, and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Butler University and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education from Northern Michigan University and a Master of Arts in Literature from Purdue University. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Literature at Purdue and her research focuses on representations of activism and social change in queer, working class American literature.
