Speaking Art: Resistance through Design

ACTIVISM

\ˈak-ti-ˌvi-zəm\
the policy or action of using vigorous campaigning to bring about political or social change.

Resistance through design

Speaking Art is a creative avenue of resistance for students to advocate for political, environmental, economic, or social change at OSU and beyond. Speaking Art is an alternative form of student activism that focuses on design and communication. We hope to bring attention to issues that affect OSU students and our communities through visual arts. Resistance comes in many forms, including creative design.

Call for art submissions

We challenge you to design creatively to express issues that affect you and your communities. Whether you collaborate with others or work alone, we encourage students and the community to produce any form of art (digital or physical art) and submit it through our online form. We will display submitted art on our website and during an upcoming workshop. For more information on the guidelines and submission form, please visit this link. Voice through design, resistance through design.
