Zeena Faulk was born and raised in Iraq before coming to the United States on a Fulbright Scholarship Program to earn an MA in journalism from Point Park University. She has earned three Mas in English literature, journalism and mass communication, and translation studies. She has worked for Kent State University, Cleveland Clinic, and Mayo Clinic before, mainly in positions that support marginalized groups. She now serves as the Director of Ettihad Cultural Center (ECC) and supervises ten student staff.
Zeena is also a literary translator and a mother of two children, ages 12 and 10. Before coming to Corvallis, she lived with her husband and children in England, New Mexico, Ohio, and Illinois. She enjoys traveling, biking, playing soccer, cooking, and reading.
