LGBT CONNECT Week:

LGBT CONNECT Week is intended to welcome new and returning students to the OSU campus and to introduce the campus resources available to LGBT students.

Queer History Month (October):

Queer History Month celebrates LGBT history.  Queer History month is observed during the month of October in the United States to honor National Coming Out Day and the first march on Washington by LGBT people in 1979.  The Pride Center aims to educate the OSU community on LGBT history and coming out through events and programming through the whole month of October.

National Coming Out Day (October 11th):

National Coming Out Day is a celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, questioning and queer lives.  Many use this day to come out to family, friends and loved ones because of the support provided by others.  The queer community can come together through sharing the common experience of coming out.
For information about how you can help with National Coming Out Day, call the Pride Center at 737-9161 or email the Center at [email protected].

Trans Awareness Week (November):

Trans Awareness Week is a week dedicated to embracing trans individuals.  Events are intended to support the trans community and to educate others about trans issues.

For more information about how you can help with Trans Awareness Week, contact the ASOSU Queer Affairs Task Force Director at [email protected].

Pride Week (May):

Pride Week is a full week of events intended to celebrate the queer community. Events often include a “slumber” party, movie showings, workshops, and a drag show.
